As part of the IT renewal project for Visana Health Insurance, Inventx AG was evaluated as the new IT operator. The task was to transfer IT operations personnel to Inventx, establish a new IT infrastructure for all of Visana's IT at Inventx, migrate the IT systems, and bring them into operation. Thirty Visana employees transferred to Inventx, the infrastructure for 115 systems was newly built at Inventx, and the applications were subsequently migrated.

The exciting project involved many company-wide topics, such as: 

• Coordination of the transfer of employees from Visana to Inventx
• Establishment of the basic infrastructure
• Design and migration of applications
• Cross-company setup of test and bug management
• Definition of new collaboration processes and SLAs
• Preparation of necessary framework and individual contracts
• Development of introduction and communication concepts
• Execution of CutOver simulations, CutOver, and GoLive
• Organization of the hypercare phase and decommissioning
• Cost control of more than 50 involved companies for project, project operations, and transition phases

The 115 applications, which include core and peripheral systems, were put into operation on schedule on August 4, 2024, after a duration of 19 months. The commissioning went smoothly and flawlessly. The project and the implementation were a complete success, as evidenced by the excellent feedback from the departments. Currently, a few standalone systems are still being transferred, and residual issues are being addressed. For this demanding task, Advento took on the overall project management and filled central key positions.
